COVID-19 cases keep climbing
COVID-19 cases in the county jumped by twenty-four new active cases to report in Milam County on Monday. There are twelve new PCR cases and twelve new probable cases. Four PCR cases were discharged, and one probable case was discharged. No one was admitted to a hospital and one person was discharged.
Testing in Rockdale of forty-three individuals Monday yielded thirteen positive results. Over the past 10 days of testing, 327 individuals have been tested, with 85 positive results for a 26% positivity rate. This is very high, County Judge Steve Young said.
Today's testing is in Thorndale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. If you are a Milam County resident with COVID symptoms, go by Fireman's Hall for a free antigen test.
The State will conduct free testing on November 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Milano fire station for anyone, with or without symptoms.
