Water Use Restriction

During the next eight weeks, the City of Rockdale will be taking the Mill St Ground Storage Tank, the Mill St Elevated Tower and the Mill St Water Treatment Plant offline for badly needed maintenance and repair.  During this time, the City Council has authorized the City Manager and Public Works Director to initiate the City’s Drought Contingency Plan. 

Dates for STAGE 4 Water Use Restrictions

Ground Storage Tank Maintenance/Water Treatment Plant repairs - Beginning Wednesday December 7, 2022 and ending at midnight December 23, 2022.

Elevated Tower Maintenance, repair, and painting – Beginning January 3, 2023 until midnight January 31, 2023.

STAGE 4 water use restrictions prohibit all non-essential use of water.   This includes but is not limited to:  (NOTE: Stage 4 restrictions also include Stages 2 & 3)

• Washing of boats, automobiles, RV’s, & ATV’s.
• No watering of lawns or other outdoor plants.
• No bulk water use for pool, spa’s, etc.
• No bulk water use for construction without a written variance from the City Manager.
