Bet ter ambulance service—A MR has deployed new features to improve ambulance services in the county including telehealth, nurse navigation and real time ambulance tracking. Recently the ambulances were equipped with a device that enables the crew to use telehealth to connect a patient directly with a doctor. This is helpful in situations when the crew needs a doctor’s advice on how to help a patient. Immediate telehealth allows the crew and the patient to speak to a doctor to determine the best course, which may be to treat in place.
Rockdale’s first Latina city councilwoman
(Between the research from City Secretary Terry Blanchard and The Reporter’s own files, I believe Rockdale has elected its first Latina city councilwoman, Esmeralda Ruelas-Olivares. There is a meeting on Friday, June 3 at 2 p.m. at the library of the local Milam County Rancheria Grande chapter of the El Camino Real de los Tejas National Historic Trail to celebrate National Trails Day.
