The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) is holding a free webinar for Texas veterans and their families on Tuesday, Oct. 5 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. to provide them with information about brain health, memory screenings and veterans benefits. LAST YARD OF THE MONTH FOR 2021—The yard of Jan Beery was chosen as Rockdale Earth Day’s Yard of the Month for September. She will receive a $25 gift certificate to Bloomers Garden Center in Elgin. Rockdale Earth Day will start giving out the award again in March or April of 2022.
