Central Texas Food Bank deliveries cancelled

The Food Bank’s fleet, equipment, facilities, and operations have been adversely impacted by the extremely low temperatures, and hazardous road conditions are hindering our staff and volunteers from getting to our building safely. These conditions are also keeping us from distributing food safely. We are currently assessing all factors to determine when we’ll be able to resume operations, when it’s safe for our clients, staff and volunteers.

So, for the safety of everyone involved, all Central Texas Food Bank food distributions scheduled for Thursday have been canceled. The Food Bank will also be closed  Thursday.

The Thursday cancelations include:

· Mobile Food Pantry in Rockdale,

· Mass food distribution event at the Travis County Expo Center, Austin,

· All Children’s Meal distributions, including PARD—Dittmar Recreation center, Austin.
