COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE CLOSING DUE TO VIRUS

  Milam County Judge Steve Young has announced the county clerk's office in Cameron will close at 12-noon today (July 9) due to increasing cases of COVID-19.

  "We will go forward with our county court docket tomorrow (Friday) as scheduled," he said.

   UPDATE: Young said four employees of the office have tested positive for the virus.

   Part of the county clerk's office is an early voting location. Young said early voting will continue there with no interruption. He said the office will be thoroughly cleaned while it is closed.

   County Clerk Jodi Morgan said a drop box is availble at the office with 72-hour response. For urgent matters call the office at 254-697-7049.
