Homebound shot program begins; clinics continue
Last week the county administered 1,054 shots, brining the total shots to 7,326. About 30% of the county has received one shot and over 12% have been fully vaccinated.
"We are making progress," said Milam County Judge Steve Young in his daily email.
On Monday, as a part of the county's homebound shot project over 30 individuals were vaccinated in Rockdale. On Wednesday, the county will vaccinate at the Cameron VFW, at Milam County Medical Department on Thursday and Rockdale on Friday.
"We plan to administer about 1,000 total shots," Young said.
This has been a team effort of a lot of people, including our Medical Department, Emergency Management, Texas A&M and the many, many volunteers of Milam County. We cannot thank them enough for the professional, cheerful hard work they have and continue to do.
