Milam County COVID-19 death toll at 36

Another COVID-19 related death has occurred bringing the Milam County death toll to 36, County Judge Steve Young reported in this daily email.

"Our active infections dropped by 16 to 159," he said.

There will be no COVID testing in Cameron today, due to the weather. So far, we have tested 3,134 individuals with 936 positive infections which is a 30% positivity rate. There will also be no testing in Rockdale on Monday as that is a holiday.  The next testing will be in Milano on Wednesday.  Milam County residents with COVID symptoms can go by to get a free antigen test.

70 active PCR cases -up 6

0 open PCR cases

944 antigen cases-no change

89 active antigen cases – down 22

0 open antigen cases

Total active cases in Milam County – 159

7 hospitalized -no change

Total hospitalized since the pandemic began -166

3 on ventilators -no change

36 fatalities- up 1
