NO MILAM COVID-19 PATIENTS IN HOSPITAL

  Milam County Judge Steve Young said Friday morning there are no Milam County COVID-19 patients in area hospitals.

 That hasn't happened since mid-March when the first two Milam cases were diagnosed.

  There were still two persons hospitalized from the virus at the beginning of the week.

  Young said  10 persons who had contact with infected individuals continue to be monitored by the Milam County Health Department.

  There was a day of testing Wednesday at the Milano Volunteer Fire Department. Young said only 21 of the 37 persons tested were Milam residents.

  One Milam resident has died of the disease.
