NO NEW CASES TUESDAY

Three antigen (probables) from testing

From County Judge Steve Young Tuesday night:

I am pleased to report that we had no new confirmed PCR tests Tuesday.  However, we did have three positive antigen tests resulting from our testing in Thorndale. No one was admitted to a hospital today, but we have three individuals in a hospital and two are on ventilators.

Monday, we tested 22 individuals in Rockdale using PCR tests, but we did not receive the results Tuesday.  We tested nine individuals in Thorndale Tuesday using antigen tests and three were positive.

Wednesday we  test in Milano at the Fire Station using the rapid result antigen test.  The testing is yielding good benefits as evidenced by the dwindling number of confirmed cases.  A special thanks to the mayors and city council members for being so supportive and willing to combine its own COVID grant money with the county to provide this needed testing service.  You can be proud to live in a place where city and county government is working together to provide a safer place to live!
