Snow, icy weather suspends COVID-19 testing

There will be no COVID-19 testing today due to the snow and ice. Testing is set to resume Tuesday at the Thorndale VFD.  The county will, however, proceed with the COVID-19 vaccinations in Rockdale today from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. as a lot of people on the list live in Rockdale. However, if you are on the list and can’t come, you will not lose your place. You will be at the head of list for out next vaccination clinic, which will be conducted later next week.

The weather has also closed the Milam County Courthouse today with plans to reopen Tuesday.

The county commissioners meeting will be held at 10 a.m.

District Court and County Court will be closed tomorrow.

Sheriff White and I highly recommend you stay off the roads tomorrow, especially in the morning as the snow accumulation will freeze tonight making the roads hazardous.
