Many people in Rockdale may have already met David Money, the newest addition to The Rockdale Reporter staff, but for those who have not, Money is being groomed by Mike Brown to take over editing duties.
It was the worst of times. It was the best of times.
From 1895 to 2002 this iconic landmark building served as Rockdale’s City Hall, so there were lots of city records still inside. Two weeks ago, the city council voted to accept the $100,000 offer of Collier and Peggy Perry to purchase the structure so Friday was moving day for those decades of records. Among the city employees taking part were (L-R) Rachaid Wilson, Daniel Moore and Carlos Dean Rubin.
A Texas Dept. of Agriculture free meal program for Rockdale children and senior citizens will tentatively begin Oct. 5.
An American Red Cross blood drive is slated for Saturday at the Milano Fire Station, according to event spokesperson Devin Love.
