CAMERON—After a year and a half of discussion, Milam County commissioners on Monday approved a move of several county departments from downtown Cameron into Cameron’s former hospital.

Workforce Solutions of Texas-Rockdale Office—located in the One-Stop building, Bell at Main—will reopen to the public Monday and there’s a new protocol, according to Julia Cardona, Workforce Development Specialist. “We will see customers on a “by appointment only” basis. We will continue to provide services via phone and email to those who choose not to schedule appointments,” she said. A kiosk will be placed at the door of our One Stop Center to be shared with all other offices in the building (at left). This device serves as a temperature taker and sanitizer dispenser. Everyone will be required to wear their mask upon entering the building.
