Camp Hearne Historic Site announces the launch of its newest historical activity, “Das Kaserne,” a prisoner of war escape experience that invites participants to step back in time and uncover the challenges faced by prisoners behind barbed-wire fences during World War II.

Kickoff of Rockdale’s 2024 Sesquicentennial celebration will be a drone show at Fair Park co-sponsored by the Rockdale Chamber of Commerce and the City of Rockdale on July 4. Prayer breakfast set at Mount Zion Baptist Mount Zion Baptist Church will hold a prayer breakfast from 7:30 to 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, with a program afterward which will last until 9 a.m.
