Rockdale Intermediate School and their counselor, Paige Morris, were one of an elite group of schools from across the state to win the CREST Award for Counseling Excellence for 2021- 2022.

BUSINESS OF THE MONTH—Las Tortugas was selected as the Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Month for December. The business opened four years ago and is famous for breakfast tacos, tortas, burritos and gorditas. Dude Ferris announced that he is running for Pct. 2 commissioner this week. Ferris worked in the trucking business for 26 years and branched out into other businesses such as fleet repair, site preparation driveways and a recycling business.
