Barbecue lineup
Folks were lined up Saturday for the Gause Volunteer Fire Department’s annual barbecue fundraiser at the fire station. The customers included Justin Litchfield who was hosting a conference near Gause. He decided it would be a good way to feed those at the conference. He bought 40 plates saying it was the best way to help the economy and the volunteer firefighters. Fire Chief Scott Koenig, who along with other volunteer firefighters and the Ladies Auxiliary filled up the to go plates with brisket, sausage, pintos, potato salad, onions, pickles and bread, was happy for the big order and all the others who came out to show support for the department.
