Those interested in rainwater harvesting can join a “live” and online seminar to learn the basics of rainwater collection, how to create your own system and see systems demonstrated.
Here are the Rockdale winners of the Middle School UIL Academic Competition contests held at Rockdale Junior High School last week. Cameron won with 1,090 points, Lexington was second with 1,013, Rockdale was third with 800 points and Caldwell with 423 points was fourth.
One of the four priority goals of Rockdale ISD is to ensure that all students have a foundation for success. This success is built upon the mastery of reading, writing, mathematics and scientific principles, but is amplified in scope by the addition of college and career readiness standards. From kindergarten to graduation, students are prepared academically and held to rigorous expectations in both core and non-core areas. RISD’s plan is to prepare each student academically and introduce them to a variety of pathways and careers so that they may find what they have an interest in, can be passionate about and are academically prepared for to build the foundation for success.
