Dear editor, My husband and I had Harris-Walz banners and signs hanging around our front gate for several weeks prior to the election. During that time, I occasionally saw social media posts about political signs being stolen from yards in other places. Every time, I felt proud that in Milam County, we do not stoop so low. Our Harris-Walz banners and signs peacefully coexisted with the Trump flags in our neighbor’s pastures. In Milam County, I said to myself, we respect our neighbors’ rights to publicly speak their mind, and we respect our neighbors’ private property.

Dear Savvy Senior, My dad has dementia and has gotten to the point that he can’t live at home any longer. I need to fi nd a good memory care residential facility for him but don’t know where to turn.
