CAMERON—Jerry Wayne Steele Sr., 71, of Cameron died Sunday, July 8, at his home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 13, in the Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron with William Beasley officiating. Burial will follow in Milano Cemetery.

Visitation is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the funeral home.

Mr. Steele was born Oct. 12, 1946, in Milano.

He graduated from Milano High School and served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Steele was retired from the U.S. Post Office and, in later years, he was a bartender.

He married his wife, Bammer, in 1994.

Survivors include his wife, Bammer Steele of Cameron; two sons, Jerry Steele Jr. and wife Jesenia, and Craig Steele, all of Austin; a sister, Debbie Gross of Georgia; and five grandchildren, Kevin, Ariana, Ethan, Aubrey and Mason Steele.
