Victor S. Kocian, 89, of Rock-dale died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2018 at Winnie L Nursing Center in Cameron.

Mass was held Friday, Aug. 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with Father Pedro Castillo, Deacon Gus Coelho and Deacon Don Sims officiating. Burial followed at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Rosary was recited Thursday, Aug. 9, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mr. Kocian was born Sept. 11, 1928, in West to Jerry and Bertha (Broz) Kocian.

On Feb. 3, 1953, he married Gertrude Warhol in Bremond.

Mr. Kocian worked for 32 years with Alcoa in Rockdale in the potrooms. He retired Jan. 1, 1990.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rock-dale.

Mr. Kocian was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Kocian on April 2, 2002; his parents, Jerry and Bertha Kocian; two brothers, Adolph and Johnnie Kocian; and a sister, Agnes Wilganoski.

Survivors are a daughter, Diane Marek and Sid Culp of Rockdale; three brothers, Herman Kocian and Jerome Kocian, both of Rockdale, Billy Kocian of Liberty; three sisters, Marie Bielamowicz of Bremond, Lily Rodriguez of Marlin and Betty Jane Kocian of Bremond; two grandchildren, Amanda Story and husband Paul of Waller and DJ Marek and wife Amanda of Round Rock; and three great-grandchildren, Austyn, Bradyn and Catelyn Story of Waller.

Serving as pallbearers were DJ Marek, James Kloss, Bernard Hopcus, Paul Story, Johnny Story and Matt Story.

Honorary pallbearers were Austyn Story, Bradyn Story and Catelyn Story.
