SHARP—Charles Howard Helmer, 87, of the Sharp community in Milam County died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at his home.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Sharp Cemetery.
Mr. Helmer, a retired machinist, was born Nov. 21, 1930, in Houston to Samuel and Maudie Jane (Connally) Helmer.
He married Violet Lee Schram on Sept. 3, 1948.
Survivors are his wife, Violet Helmer of Sharp; two daughters, Silvia Rangel of Huntsville,Sherry Valdez of Conroe; a son, Charles Helmer Jr.; and a sister, Ruby Adamson of Fairfield; also, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
