CAMERON—Irene Paulin Rummel, 88, of Longview, formerly of Cameron, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018, in a Longview medical center.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 7, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron with Pastor Troy Bayne officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.
Mrs. Rummel was born Aug. 14, 1930, in Milam County to Ed and Ida (Koenig) Junek.
She married Warren (Hoop) Rummel and he preceded her in death.
Mrs. Rummel retired from Alcoa in Rockdale and was a member of Abiding Savior Lutheran Church.
A son, Glen (Rocky) Rummel, also preceded her in death.
Survivors are a son, Ronald Rummel of Longview, and a sister, Annie Mae Jistel of Red Oak; also, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
