THORNDALE—Funeral services for Linda Nell Biar, 70, of Thorndale are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale with Pastor Aaron Kalbas officiating. Burial will follow at Salty Cemetery near Thorndale.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorn-dale.

Mrs. Biar died Friday, Dec. 21, at her home in Thorndale.

She was born July 13, 1948 in Galena Park to Charles Cleo and Alta Raye (Jackson) Caffey.

Mrs. Biar was a graduate of Thorndale High School.

She married Jerry Biar on May 4, 1968, at First Baptist Church in Thorndale.

Mrs. Biar was a day care provider at her home in Thorn-dale, was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a 45-year member of Thorndale Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Cleo “Buck” Caffey; a brother, Charles Ray Caffey; her mother and father-in-law, Gerhard and Frances Biar; two brothers-in-law, Jerry Fisher and Leroy Wuensche; and a great-nephew, Jacob Biar.

Survivors are her husband, Jerry Biar of Thorndale; her mother, Alta Raye Caffey of Rockdale; two daughters, Rhonda Jordan and husband Craig, Tina Schaefer and husband Scotty, all of Thorndale; a son, Mark Biar of Thorndale; her grandchildren, Tyler Jordan, Paxton Jordan and wife Shelby, Riley Schaefer, Ashton Schaefer, Skyler Konarsky and husband Dylan, Ryan Biar and Nathan Biar; a great-granddaughter, Daylee Paige Jordan, and future great-grandbaby Konarsky; a brother, Edward Caffey and wife Debbie of San Marcos; and a sister, Debbie Leschber and husband Raymond of Thorndale.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tyler Jordan, Paxton Jordan, Riley Schaefer, Ashton Schaefer, Ryan Biar, Nathan Biar and Dylan Konarsky.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Thorndale VFD Ladies Auxiliary.
