Franklin Delano Johnson

Franklin Delano Johnson died Saturday, March 9, 2019.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Goodwill Cemetery in Milano.

Visitation is set for 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 15, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mr. Johnson was born to William McKinley and Leola (Royal) Johnson on Feb. 10, 1944, in Milano.

He accepted Christ at an early age at his family church, Goodwill Baptist Church in Milano.

Mr. Johnson graduated from Aycock High School in Rockdale in 1964 and was employed by the family of Bill Graham for many years.

He was a professional truck driver, trail ride scout, and a porter for BGCO in Milano for over 40 years.

Mr. Johnson enjoyed the rodeo lifestyle for many years. He also enjoyed playing dominoes and table games, gatherings and barbecues, and he an avid sports fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, James Margaret Johnson, Lillie Bell, Myrtle Grimes and Verna Johnson; and four brothers, Vastine Johnson, Wilbon Johnson, Martin Johnson and Burgess Johnson.

Survivors are a brother, Jessie Alphonso Johnson, and a special sister-in-law, Irene Johnson; also, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
