Lula Mae (Lou) Templin Wallis
CAMERON—Heaven gained a glorious angel on March 29, 2019, when Lula Mae (Lou) Templin Wallis, 86, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her home in Austin. She was a longtime resident of Cameron prior to moving to Austin.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 26, at Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron and burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron.
Mrs. Wallis had a passion for sweets, enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and watching her grandkids and great-grandkids sporting events. She was known by all the kids as “Granny” and they were her heart and joy.
She spent many years as a waitress and then retired from TU Electric.
Her sweet and loving heart endeared her to all who touched her life and she will be remembered for the kind and compassionate person she was.
Mrs. Wallis was preceded in death by her parents, Rhinehart and Eva Lois Templin; a brother, George Templin and John Templin; and her aunt and uncle, John and Ollie Mae Simmons, who raised her after her mother died at a young age.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 21 years, Russell Wallis; and her children, Larry Ingram of Newport Beach, California, Mike Ingram and wife Melinda of Pampa, Debbie Johnston and husband Chris of Austin, Rusty Wallis and wife Jodi of San Diego, California, Paulette Pendley and husband Larry of Waco; also, 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Wilkins
GAUSE—Lois Eiland Wilkins, 84, of Gause went to be with her Savior on April 1, 2019. She passed away at Scott & White in College Station with her family by her side.
Services are scheduled to be held at Gause Baptist Church in Gause at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, with Rev. Jason Lasher to officiate.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to service time at the church.
Wise
GAUSE—Byron Franklin Wise, 84, of Gause died Tuesday, March 26, 2019, as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Minerva.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 1, at the Robertson County Cowboy Church in Franklin with Rev. Jimmy Sanders officiating. Burial followed at Gause City Cemetery.
Mr. Wise, a supervisor at MSI, was born March 23, 1935, in Paducah to Charles and Pansy (Franklin) Wise.
He received his BA degree from Baylor University.
He married Georgia Light on Sept. 26, 1969, and they spent next 49 years together in Gause.
Mr. Wise supported Milam County throughout the years in his involvement as a former Gause ISD School Board member, Gause VFD, Rockdale Roping & Cutting Club and other livestock organizations.
He was a supporter of the 4-H and FFA youth of Milam County.
Mr. Wise was a lifelong cattleman.
He was a member of the Gause Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife, Georgia Wise of Gause; a son, Curtis Wise and wife Leslie of Flower Mound; a daughter, Amber Reed and husband Mikel of Gause; a brother, Wayne Wise and wife Glenda of Paris, Texas; a sister-in-law, Ellen Ruth Wise of Mounds, Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren, Spencer Wise, Cameron Wise, Charlotte “Lottie” Wise, Penelope Wise, Garrett Reed, Maddison Reed and Vincent Harris.
