COVID-19 COUNT GOES TO 24

Case in 'western part of county'
From County Judge Steve Young earlly Friday:
Late yesterday we were informed of a 24th confirmed case of the cornavirus in Milam County. This person is a Milam County resident who lives in the western part of the county. This is believed to be a community spread infection. The person is not hospitalized, but is self-quarantined in their home. The county health department has begun its contact investigations.
This brings the total to 24 confirmed cases in the county, 1 death, 6 active cases and the health department is monitoring about 7 persons. We have no one hospitalized.
