Jose Luis Nieto, 60, of Rockdale died Sunday June 7, 2020, at his home in Rockdale.

Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, June 12, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Rockdale.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 11, with a rosary at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Nieto was born June 5, 1960, in Chicago, Illinois, to Arthur and Margaret (Ortiz) Nieto.

He attended school in Hicksville, Ohio, and Edinburg.

He lived the past 40 years in Rockdale.

On Sept. 12, 1984, he married Mary Dockery in the Milam County Courthouse.

Mr. Nieto worked as a heavy equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Nieto.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Nieto of Rockdale; two sons, Jeffrey Nieto and Adrain Nieto of Rockdale; a daughter, Felicia Nieto of Rockdale; his father, Arthur Nieto of Rockdale; sister, Kathy Nieto of Rockdale; two brothers, Paul Nieto and Edwardo Nieto, both of Rockdale; also, eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Adrain Nieto, Paul Nieto, Edwardo Nieto, Jeffrey Nieto, Billy Tindle and Mario Garza.
