COVID-19 cases continue to rise
Another twenty new active cases were reported in Milam County on Wednesday; seven new PCR cases and thirteen new probable cases. Nine PCR cases were discharged, and five probable cases were discharged. No one was admitted to a hospital and no one was discharged.
Tuesday there were thirty-three individuals tested in Thorndale with five positive results. "Over the last 11 days of testing, we have tested 360 individuals, with 90 positive results for a 25% positivity rate. This is very high!" said County Judge Steve Young.
Today's testing is in Cameron from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the fire station. If you are a Milam County resident with COVID symptoms, come see us for a free antigen test.
There will be no testing on Thanksgiving Day or Friday. The testing will resume Monday in Rockdale.
The state will conduct free testing Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Milano fire station for anyone, with or without symptoms.
