Milam County COVID-19 deaths now at 11

A Milam county resident has died from COVID-19. "This makes the eleventh death since the pandemic began. This is a grim reminder of how fatal the virus actually is. Please be careful; wear your mask, keep your distance and wash your hands," County Judge Steve Young said in a news release.  

 

There are 17 new active cases to report. Five new PCR cases and twelve new antigen cases. Three PCR cases and eleven antigen cases were discharged from the active list.  There are now 137 active infections is the county, just under the record of 142 set last Friday. In addition, one individual was admitted to a local hospital.   Thirty individuals in Milano on Wednesday with eight positive results.  In the past 22 days of testing, we have tested 859 individuals in Milam County with 219 positive results with a positivity rate of 25%.

 

Today's testing is in Cameron at the Cameron VFD. IMilam County residents with COVID symptoms can get a free COVID antigen test.

8.   Hospitalizations 9 – down 2 (two persons on a ventilator)
