2 Milam County residents die of COVID-19

 COVID-19 claims two more lives lifting the death toll in Milam County to 13.

105 individuals were tested Monday in Rockdale with 43 positive results. Since testing began September 1,  there have been 2,158 residents of Milam County tested with 573 positive results for an overall positivity rate of 26%. 

Today's testing is in Thorndale at the Thorndale VFD from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Milam County resident with COVID symptoms may recieve the tests for free.

Also five more peopkle were admitted to area hospitals. There are 40 new cases to report; 23 PCR cases and 17 antigen cases. There is some good news; 52 individuals were discharged from the active list and six individuals were discharged from local hospitals. The current COVID numbers are as follows:

103 active probable cases – up 18

Total active cases in the County – 160
