Death toll from COVID-19 goes up, again

There has been another COVID-19 related death in Milam County. This is the eleventh death  reported in the past 11 days, bringing the total death count to 29 since the pandemic started. 

"We have now reported over 2,000 confirmed infections in Milam County and 150 have been hospitalized. Make no doubt – the virus is alive and well in Milam County. I urge every Milam County resident to get vaccinated. The Moderna vaccine that we are using is 95% effective, the injection is virtually painless and the side effects are minimal," wrote County Judge Steve Young in an email.
