Rockdale graduate to be in Miss Texas pageant

Whitley Boyd will be representing Rockdale in the 2021 Miss Texas competition on June 26 as Miss Rockdale Fair. The Miss Texas Scholarship Program is part of the Miss America Organization. One of the ways that funds are provided is through pages placed by supporters in the official Miss Texas Program. This program is sent to the judges so they get to know a bit more about each of the candidates. It is also for sale during Pageant Week.

Boyd will be reaching out to local businesses for support. She plans to have pages showcasing not only her hometown supporters, but also her social platform, Girls Authenticating Girls, that she is developing.

She will share a payment portal that links directly to her Miss Texas account, as well as her Venmo account.

Businesses will also be recognized on Whitley’s personal social media pages, as well as possibly in a virtual issue of the Miss Texas magazine (this depends on actual submission times).  The deadline for committing to sponsoring a page or partial page is May 1.
