Sandoval

Alexandria “Alex” Sandoval passed away May 17, 2021, at her home with both her parents holding her.

In January, she had been diagnosed with DIPG brain cancer. Despite how difficult it was, Alex fought hard until the very end.

She was known as a tomboy, softball-playing-VSCO girl who secretly liked to get dressed up. Alex loved big family events and having everyone together.

She enjoyed spending most of her time with her friends making TikTok videos, dancing and shopping. She was a great student who was excited for sixth grade.

Her bright smile and laughter will be greatly missed.

Alex is survived by her parents, Andy and Terri; an older brother, AJ; and a little sister, Avery.

There will be a celebration of Alex’s life held Saturday, May 29, at the Rockdale K.C. Hall starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by burial at Liberty Cemetery. Tie-dye or sport attire requested.

To end the evening around 8:45 to 9 p.m., please find a parking lot or viewing point and look up to the sky over the Fair Park area. There will be a firework show in honor of Alex to the community that loved, supported and prayed for her. May Alex be a bright and shining light one more time.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Rockdale Girls Softball League, P.O. Box 1394, Rockdale or cashapp$rgslsoftball or venmo@rgsl-softball.
