Diver

Memorial services for Carmen Luz Diver, 80 of Rockdale will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at Iglesia Cristiana Elim Assembly of God Church in Rockdale.

Mrs. Diver was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, to Pedro and Alejandrina (Garcia) Hernandez on Oct. 26, 1940.

She received her cosmetology license from Wilfred Academy of Hair & Beauty. She used that license to work for 10 years, making women feel beautiful with hair styles and cuts.

On May 12, 1957, she married Lee Diver Jr. were married in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

They later made their home in Rockdale, where she was a homemaker.

Mrs. Diver was a member of Rockdale Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Albert Diver Sr.; her husband, Lee Diver Jr.; her mother, Alejandrina Rivera; and her father, Pedro Hernandez.

Survivors are her children, Beverly Ann Diver of Rockdale, Rickie Lee Diver and wife Belkis of New Jersey, Maggie Contes and husband Jose of Rockdale; her grandchildren, Christina, Rickie Jr. and Gabrielle Diver, Albert Jr., Jonathan, Brandon, Andrew and Alejandrina Diver, Geovanny Contes, Jessenia Roemelin and husband Timothy; and her great-grandchildren, Illiana, Isabella and Ilayna Roemelin.
