Dollie Florence Lewis, 104, of Henderson, formerly of Rockdale, died Sunday, July 3, 2022, in the Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Henderson.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 7, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with L.B. Kubiak officiating. Burial was at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.

Mrs. Lewis was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Norman Valley in Milam County to James Robert and Dollie (Thomas) Hunt.

She married Willford Bedford Lewis.

She was a homemaker and a member of Murray Street Church of Christ in Rockdale.

Mrs. Lewis lived most of her life in Rockdale before moving to Henderson.

She enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Willford Bedford Lewis on July 12, 1973; her father, James R. Hunt in 1947; and her mother, Dollie Hunt in 1966; also, two brothers and seven sisters.

Survivors are two sons, J.B. Lewis and wife Diana of Fairfield, Willie Lewis and wife Kay of Henderson; and two daughters, Barbara Boyd and husband David of Huntsville, Judy Edwards and husband Robert of Rockdale; also, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous extended family.

Pallbearers were Wallace Gootman, Danny Anderson, Terry Wolfe, James Anderson, Gary Jackson and John McGee.

Honorary pallbearers were Elmer Gootman, Denny Irwin, Eddie Janak and Richard Munoz
