Vernon Lee Gage, 84, of Milano died Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple.

Mr. Gage was born June 25, 1938, in Lockhart to Tommy Wendell and Artie Mitcha (Beard) Gage.

On Nov. 8, 1960, he married Barbara Rowe. To this union four children were born.

They have lived in Milano since 1976.

Mr. Gage worked in commercial construction.

He was a loving husband, dad and Paw Paw who loved Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Artie Gage; three brothers, James, Phillip and Mike Gage; two sisters, Bertha Lacey and Barbara Hughes; and a great-grandson, Colin Linton. Survivors are his wife,

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Gage of Milano; four children, Roddy Gage and wife Kim of Milano, Lisa Gage of Caldwell, Kevin Gage and Nancy of Caldwell, Leslie Roach and husband Larry of Pflugerville; three brothers, Eddie Gage and wife Mary of Waller, Roger Gage of League City, Robin Gage and wife Annette of Santa Fe; a sister, Lynda Rankin and husband Jim of Austin; and 16 grandchildren, Tessa Barnett, Rocky Gage, Hunter Russell, Justin Gage, Kaila Wetherell, Jamie Nash, Sean Atwater, Rachel Vogel, Dani Linton, Cohen Peacock, Clint Peacock, Levi Gage, Eli Gage, Aubry Muston, Lexi Roach, Kamen Roach and Devon Kerlin; also, 28 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
