Cohn

A memorial service for William Lynn Cohn, 74, of Rockdale is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at Harvest Bible Church in Rockdale with Pastor Brad Dusenberry officiating.

He passed away Saturday, Aug. 6, at his home in Rockdale.

Mr. Cohn was born Feb. 8, 1948, in Corpus Christi to Jasper and Clara Taylor Cohn.

After attending college, he joined the U.S. Army and served three years in Vietnam.

He moved to Houston, where he met and then married June Cherry on July 18, 1975.

Mr. Cohn worked as a heavy machinery mechanic inHouston and Austin until his retirement in 2013.

He loved fishing, hunting and tinkering on old cars and tractors in his free time.

Mr. Cohn was preceded in death by his parents, Jasper Cohn and Clara Murray; his step-father, Alton Murray; a brother and sister-in-law, Dwynell and Ida Cohn; a sister, Shirley Hilton; and a nephew, Joseph Hilton.

Survivors include his wife, June of Rockdale; a sister, Patsy and husband Wayne Blasingime of New Waverly; a daughter, Jamie and husband Jason Henderson; a son, David and wife Aubrey Cohn; his grandchildren, Jaycee, Riley, Aidan and Annabelle Henderson and Zoe Bogen; and special family friend Joyce Ford of Rockdale; also, many nieces and nephews.
