Blake

Deana Deckard Blake, 75, of Milano died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Bryan on March 5, 1947, to Sam Hugh and Claudia Shaw Yoakum.

She spent most of her life in Milam and Robertson counties.

Mrs. Blake graduated Franklin High School in 1965, where she lived and worked for many years.

She reconnected and married the love of her life, ShortyBlake, on Nov. 21, 2020, after their 30-year love affair.

Mrs. Blake was preceded in death by her parents, Sam Hugh and Claudia Shaw Yoakum; two brothers, Sam “Kooster” Yoakum and Larry Yoakum; and a great-grandson, Lane Trotter.

Survivors are her husband, Shorty Blake; two daughters, Mechelle Deckard and husband Curtis of Bryan, Claudia Mata of Milano; three sons, Tommy Trotter and wife Nikki of Moody, Carl Blake and wife Susan of Milano, Robert “Bubba” Blake and wife Tamara of Milano; her grandchildren, Ariel Martinez and husband Jacob, Christopher Doty, Brandon Garza and wife Jessica, Tyler Blake, Luke Martinez, TJ Trotter, Cashlyne Blake and Tate, Tanner Pratt, Tristan Massey, Brianna Gray and husband Nate, and Cierra Trotter; and her great-grandchildren, Tyler Trotter, Legend Trotter, Lyla Gray and Madilynne Garza.

Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 9, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Chapel in Rockdale. Bros. David Kaufmann and Ray Ditto from Crossroads Bible Church officiated.

Burial follow in the Milano Cemetery.
