Richards

Sandra Lou Richards died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022, at Western Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Temple.

Services are set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home. Burial will be at New Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at the funeral home.

Ms. Richards was born in Rockdale on Sept. 17, 1945, to William Monroe Jackson Sr. and Seewillow Colvin Jackson.

She graduated from Aycock High School in Rockdale in 1964.

She worked in food services throughout her career.

Ms. Richards accepted Christ in her life at a young age and joined Springfield Baptist Church in Rockdale, where she served as a faithful member.

She loved her famil y, friends and ever yone she came in contact with until her health declined.

She received great care at the Western Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Temple until the Lord called her home.

Ms. Richards was preceded in death by her parents, William Monroe Jackson Sr. and Seewillow Colvin Jackson; two brothers, John E. Jackson and William M. Jackson Jr.; four sisters, Essie M. Davis, Evelyn Moultrie, Mae J. Cashaw and Pamela E. Ellis.

Survivors are a sister, Avis S. Norwood of Temple, and a brother, Larry N. Jackson (Sandra) of Austin; also, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
