Ernie Glenn, 66, of Minerva, died at his home on Monday, Nov. 7, 2022.

Mr. Glenn Services will be at 2 p.m. Fr id ay, Nov. 11, at Milam County Cowboy Church in Rockdale with Art Free off iciat ing. Burial will follow at Minerva Cemetery in Minerva.

Visitation will also be Friday from 1 p.m. until service time at 2.

Mr. Glenn was born March 5, 1956, in Andrews to Ernest and Ima Jane (Fuller) Glenn.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1973 until 1979. On Aug. 17, 1974, he married Karen Odom in Brady.

Mr. Glenn worked as a truck driver for 17 years. He worked as an LVN nurse for 30 years, at Richards Memorial Hospital, John’s Community Hospital in Taylor, St. Edwards Hospital in Cameron and several nursing homes in the area. He retired in 2018.

He was a member of Milam County Cowboy Church and a member of Minerva Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as Fire Chief the past six years and their president the past three years.

Mr. Glenn was also a former member of Rockdale Volunteer EMS as a paramedic. He served on the Minerva Cemetery Board as president and Minerva Community Center Board.

In his spare time, he hunted, fished, went camping and loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ima Jane Glenn; a sister, Betty Quain Leonard; and a brother, Robert Quain.

Survivors are his wife of 48 years, Karen Glenn of Minerva; two sons, Christopher Glenn and wife Sandra of Taylor, Joshua Glenn and wife Mary of Cameron; a daughter, Michelle Sanders and husband Shawn of College Station; two brothers, Clayton Quain of Round Rock and John Glenn of Louisiana; and eight grandchildren, Alexander, Jacquelin, Caitlyn and Troy Glenn, Dallas Sanders, William Glenn, Alyssa Sanders and Isabella Glenn.

Pallbearers will be Alexander Glenn, Troy Glenn, Dallas Sanders, William Glenn, Tracy King and Aydon Guevara.
