Lynda Gale Moody
Funeral services for Lynda Gale Moody, 73, of Minerva and Lexington were held Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at Forest Grove Christian Church with Pastor Lance Walch officiating. Burial followed at Sanders Cemetery near Blue.
Mrs. Moody died Friday, Feb. 24, at her home in Lexington.
She was born on March 6, 1949, in Taylor to Roy Richard and Willie Bell (Brown) Bradshaw.
Mrs. Moody was a graduate of Lexington High School in 1967.
She married Carl Moody on Aug. 10, 1968, at Lexington United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Moody was a farmer and rancher for the past 53 years. She also worked at Valery’s Bakery, at a dress and gift shop in Rockdale and was a postal carrier for a short time.
She was a member of Forest Grove Christian Church.
She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed tending to her cattle, gardening and taking care of her flowers.
Mrs. Moody was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Willie Bradshaw; three brothers, Ronny Bradshaw, Richard Bradshaw and wife Elaine, and Joe Bradshaw; and two sisters, Joyce Smith and husband Wayne, and Joann Bradshaw; also, several nieces and nephews.
Survivors are her husband, Carl Moody of Cameron; a son, Keith Moody of Rockdale; her grandchildren, Madison, Roy and Miranda Moody; two brothers-in-law, Wallace Moody Jr. and wife Shirley of Cameron, Albert Lee Moody and wife Trixie of Cameron; and four sisters-inlaw, Debo Doud and husband Bernie of Rockdale, Rheatte Malaukis of Gause, Carrol Bradshaw of Lexington and Joyce Bradshaw of Giddings.
Pallbearers were Tony Bradshaw, Josh Cohen, Jason Moody, Johnny Bradshaw, Joshua Doud and Dax Kinnibrugh.
Honorary pallbearers were Travis Crimm, Cliff Moody, Robert Bradshaw, C J Ruemke and David Sherrill.
