Ronald “Moose” Kocian

Ronald “Moose” Kocian, 56, of Rockdale, formerly of Crockett, died Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Winnie L Nursing Center in Cameron.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Fr i day, March 24, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale with Rev. Pedro Castillo officiating. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Visitation is set for 5 to 7 p.m. and rosary will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

Mr. Kocian was born Sept. 15, 1966, in Bryan to Jerome “Jerry” and Gloria (Barnett) Kocian.

He was graduate of Rockdale High School.

He was a store manager for Brookshire Brothers Grocery and lived in Crockett.

Mr. Kocian was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Kocian in 2019; his mother, Gloria Kocian in 2021; and a nephew, Lee Gonzales in 2007.

Survivors are a sister, Angela Kocian of Rockdale; a brother, Randy Kocian and wife Blanca of Lufkin; a niece, Kandace Kroener and husband Blake of Midland; and a nephew, Christian Stoll of Holland.

Pallbearers will be Joel Threadgill, Tim Barnett, John Shelly, Charles LaRue, Christian Stoll and Brandon Ruiz.
