THORNDALE—Our precious Momma and Nana passed away on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023.

She devoted her life to her family and beloved animals.

She was born on Oct. 25, 1934, to Edwin and Lorraine (Fleming) Seelig of Thorndale.

She married the love of her life, Howard Schneider, on Oct. 7, 1951, in Thorndale. Together they were blessed with four children, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A child of Christ, her greatest joy was helping raise and loving her grandchildren.

When she was not cooking for her family and friends, she enjoyed horseback riding, sewing, gardening and reading.

She was a lifelong resident of Thorndale and a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Schneider of Rockdale, Peggy Schneider Farr and husband David Farr of Thorndale, Glenn Schneider and wife Jana Schneider of Bremond, Richard Schneider and wife Lynn Schneider of Thorndale; along with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Stewart of Rockdale and Delores Seelig Scott and husband Gary of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a granddaughter, Maggie Lucile Schneider.

Pallbearers will be Clay Schneider, Coy Schneider, Cody Schneider, Dustin Schneider, John Schneider, Matt Schneider, Derrek Culp, Fili Escalante, Daniel Bachmeyer and Harvey Deary.

Honorary pallbearers are Darin Schneider, Les Dickens, Trey Schramm, Jeff Muegge, Troy Farr, Brack Farr and Michael Moehling.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Thorndale with Pastor Scott Schaller officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
