Bet t y Anne (Pelzel) Jezisek, 83 of Rockdale was welcomed to heaven on Sunday, April 21, 2024.

Betty was born Oct. 26, 1940, to Henry Pelzel Sr. and Annie Emily Praesel in Milam County.

Betty married her husband George Edward Jezisek on Sept. 27, 1957, in Rockdale.

From this union, four children were born: Tammy Lynn, Teresa Ann, Lisa George and George Raymond.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years; parents Annie and Henry Pelzel Sr; two sisters, Gail Lindamood and Mildred Kilgore; and one brother, Henry Pelzel Jr.

Surviving are her children and their families:

• Daughter Tammy Carter and husband David Carter of Rockdale; granddaughter Jamie Wuebker and husband Brian of Chilton; grandson Joe Carter and wife Kristi Carter and great-granddaughters Reese and Lainey of Milano.

• Daughter Teresa Garza of Rockdale; grandson Jason Garza and wife Storme and great-granddaughter Cameron of Hutto; grandson Steven Garza and wife Olivia, great-grandson George and great-granddaughters Meredith and Cora of West Columbia.

• Daughter Lisa Covert and husband Preston Covert of Rockdale.

• Son George Raymond Jezisek of Bryan and partner Joshua Ortiz (deceased).

Betty is also survived by brother Robert (Bobby) Pelzel and Wife Janice of Rockdale; as well as many nieces and nephews and special friend Cruz Garza Jr.

Betty supported the Family Farming and Ranching operation throughout her married life and continued until her health would no longer allow.

Betty was a loving mother and an amazing grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, 1041 US 79, in Rockdale.
