Michael Eugene Becker, my Knight In Shining Armor, age 66, born in San Antonio, a loving husband of 43 years, a father, grandfather, friend, and mentor to many. On July 19, Michael peacefully passed in his sleep at our home in Rockdale to be with the Lord.

He enjoyed raising his kids, proud of their love of family, for each other, and the Lord. He was also like a father to his grandson Brice.

Michael graduated from Marble Falls High School.

After graduation, Michael’s sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Homer Yates, assisted him in landing a construction job in Saudi Arabia.

Upon returning to the States, he served six active duty years in the Air Force and several years in the Air Force Reserves as an aircraft mechanic.

It was during this time in Virginia that he did a tour in Kuwait for the Gulf War.

Finally Michael returned to his home roots in Texas. He served as a maintenance mechanic for 10 years in the Civil Service at the Temple VA Hospital.

Michael was an active member in the Masonic Lodge in North Carolina and achieved Master Mason.

He enjoyed bass fishing, hunting and golfing and liked to joke around having fun. He loved hanging out with family, friends, grandchildren and church family, all were dear to him.
