Bert Dockall

Bert Dockall, 68, of Rockdale died Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at his home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 15, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home with Gary Jackson officiating. Burial was at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rock-dale.

Mr. Dockall was born April 11, 1951, in Cameron to William Charles “Bill” and Mattie Maria (Timmerman) Dockall.

He was a 1969 graduate of Rockdale High School and two years at Blinn College.

Mr. Dockall was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Rock-dale.

He worked his 42-year career for the Santa Fe Railroad and spent his life enriching and preserving the railroad industry and its history.

Mr. Dockall held membership in the Rockdale Historical Society, Austin Steam Train Association in Cedar Park and Houston Area Railroad Association.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Dockall on March 26, 2000, and his father, Bill Dockall, on Oct. 10, 1966.

Survivors are numerous cousins and friends.

Pallbearers were Gary Powell, Doc Eanes, Jim Key, Eric Hamilton, James Powell, Casey Stanislaw, Marcus Stautz and Alden Doss.

Honorary pallbearers were Bill Roesler, Loy Edmondson, Chastin Stautz, Dalton Konarsky.
