Coldiron
Bobby Ray Coldiron, 89, of Milano died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022, in Bryan.
A graves ide service was held Wednesday, Aug. 30, at Sand Grove Cemetery in Milano.
Mr. Coldiron was born Nov. 12, 1932, to Alton Ruby and Eunice Katheryn (McNiel) Coldiron in Milano.
He graduated from Milano High School before enlisting into the U.S. Army.
On Nov. 29, 1952, he married JoAnne Burgess in Chriesman.
Mr. Coldiron was a foreman at TXU.
After taking an early retirement, he enjoyed getting more into his music. He loved his wife and his country music.
He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing at jamborees. He was learning how to play the banjo and fiddle.
He enjoyed wildlife, especially birds. He raised lots of different birds, including chickens and quail.
Mr. Coldiron was also an accomplished woodworker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Eunice Coldiron; a brother, JR Coldiron; his parentsin- law, Woodrow Burgess Sr. and Mittie Haddox Burgess; two brothers-in-law, Eddie Collins Jr. and Woody Burgess; and a sister-in-law, Patsy Moody.
Survivors are his wife, JoAnne Coldiron of Milano; a daughter, Charlotte Jones and husband Arvin of Rockdale; a son, Randy Coldiron and wife Missy of Milano; a sister, Joyce LaDean Collins of Nederland; his grandchildren, Chance Coldiron and wife Alexis, Mikey Coldiron and wife Melisa, Mandy Clanton and husband Daniel, Jennifer Ivins and husband Terry, and Eric Jones and wife Kelsey; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Burgess and wife Delanie, and Gene Moody; and a sisterin- law, Vivian Collier and husband Johnny; also, 20 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Randy Coldiron, Arvin Jones, Chance Coldiron, Mikey Coldiron, Eric Jones and Seth Coldiron.
