Darrell Gene “Buddy” Paris

Darrell Gene “Buddy” Paris, 89, of San Marcos passed away surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

A graveside service was held Monday, April 15, at Salty Cemetery with Pastor Matt Higginbotham officiating.

Buddy was born June 22, 1934, in Thorndale to Eugene Douglas Paris and Martha Lucille Duncan Paris.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He was self-educated entrepreneur who founded two successful businesses and later retired from the State of Texas.

Buddy worked hard from an early age to support his family and was proud to be able to provide his children with a college education from Texas A&M.

He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, flying selfbuilt airplanes and fatherand- son car projects.

Buddy was fortunate to enjoy 30 years of retirement in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.

Survivors are his wife, Claudine Joyce Mullins Paris; a son, Darrell Keith Paris and wife Michelle Marie; a daughter, Colleen Denise Paris Ellington and husband Jody Ray; his grandchildren, Amanda Nicole Paris, Ashely Rebecca Paris, Molly Dean Paris, Landon Shea Ellington, Lee Hunter Ellington and wife Melissa, and Jace Barret Ellington.
