Eanes

Agnes Eanes, 92, of Rock-dale died Sunday, May 20, 2018, in Cameron.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale with Rev. Adam Straznicky of St. John’s United Methodist Church officiating.

Mrs. Eanes was born July 25, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois.

She graduated from high school in Chicago and on Jan. 1, 1947, she married Thomas Hope “T.H.” Eanes.

Soon after, they moved to Texas where she enjoyed her passion of horseback riding.

Mrs. Eanes owned and operated a photography studio for years but had to quit taking pictures when she was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in her late 60’s.

She was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Rockdale and taught Sunday School for several years.

Mrs. Eanes was an artist and musician and enjoyed playing her guitar and singing.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, T.H. Eanes; and her siblings, Rudy Ruzich, Cass Ruzich, Joe Ruzich and Esther Jensen.

Survivors are two sons, Tom Eanes and wife Gearldine of Logan, Jim Eanes and wife Shelley of Rockdale; three grandchildren, Rock Eanes, Rainey Eanes and Paul Eanes; and four great-grandchildren, Briana Mireles, Marissa Mireles, Ryleigh Eanes and Reagan Eanes.
