Freddie Miles (Smith) Rush

COLLEYVILLE—Freddie Miles (Smith) Rush died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, in McKinney.

Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville with burial following at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park.

Visitation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rush was born in Williamson County in 1928.

She moved to Fort Worth in the 1940s.

She met her husband, Richard Rush, while working at Wolf’s Jewelry downtown. They were married for 50 years before his passing in 2008.

Mrs. Rush had a passion for her children and for volunteering, including with HEB Hospital Auxiliary, where she logged thousands of hours over 30 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a sister, Lucy Rook.

Survivors are a son, Joe Rush and wife Terry Jean; a daughter, Sheri Rush; a grandchild, Danielle Riccardi and husband Joe; and two great-grandchildren, JR Riccardi and Matthew Riccardi.
